i think its a good guide and it just hit me that this view would make a better Spectating View

o_O? makes the game much more interesting to watch ;D

Hey Jinx I love the norma view as it is if you like it like that good for you but some of us will like the normal view . When esf 1.3 comes out just make a cfg for noobs to try your view

Hrm... i found a better default Settings... ill post a vid soon to demonstrate..

on this config maps look bigger and players look smaller making the whole flying experience awsome.

Also in this vid will be several different views Numbered.. 1 - ect.. and I'm hoping everyone will download this video and vote for which view is the best..

just for my interest for now

This might be nice for videos and stuff, but this would annoy me after a while if I try to play the game. If you like to play like this, it's fine with me, but don't force other players to use this as default settings. The default settings should stay like they are now, if this would ever be added to ESF, it should be optional.

The "config" you posted previously looks great if you're trying to emulate Tenkaichi or some other fighting game. The team is trying to turn ESF into, again, Tenkaichi through the theoretical "Advanced Melee".

ESF isn't a fighting game. ESF shouldn't become a fighting game. ESF is ESF and is in a league of its own.

And here are the settings i use instead of my original settings

cam_idealdist 80
cam_zoffset 0
cam_xoffset 18
cam_yoffset 20

Oh and the sensitivity i was using was 9 believe it or not ^^

In the vid i had a hard time getting used to the bad fps x_X gamecam was eating it all up =|
Um i just wanna point out.. i made a typo here...

its cam_Xoffset 20 and cam_Yoffset 18

believe it or not THIS change makes a HUGE Difference. Hopefully every1 tries it out

But actually I found this fix to be the best (ty Trex cam_yoffset 20 , cam_xoffset -20 )

So the perfect settings would be

Cam_yoffset -20
Cam_xoffset 20
cam_zoffset 0
cam_idealdist 80

Just so you know, this doesn't seem to work for ESF 1.1. At least not in WON xD

WOW another typo

Without a doubt, i find this configuration to be better than the current default..
First remove this file from your esf's sprite folder ( 640crosshair.spr )

Change your sensitivity to 15..

and put this command in console

Bind "." "cam_yoffset 18;cam_xoffset 20;cam_zoffset 0;cam_idealdist 80;cam_default pov 100;"

then press the . button to change to this new view. It keeps you swooping properly and you aim with your player.. If you try it for yourself you'll see how usefull this is..

just add it in the f4 button along with 1st pov. it would be a POV button
alias "+cam" "cam_idealdist 80;cam_zoffset 0;cam_xoffset 20;cam_yoffset -20"
bind "<key>" "+cam;alias "+cam" "cam_idealdist x;cam_zoffset x;cam_xoffset x;cam_yoffset x""
where x is the default.. then it would be switching with 1 button:)

"Yes true, im an expert keybinder" (AKA keybindlamer :p)
