ESF 1.2 Problem.

When i start playing i play the game for about 3 seconds and then it freezes then i have to reset , this happens everytime and I WANT TO PLAY!!! ;(

i have the same problem. i just recently downloaded the game (1 hour ago) and a problem has arisin. everytime i connect to a server and select a character and team i receive either a 'kicked' command from over-zealous admins :S

and then when i try to connect to a different server, right when steam has finished pre-chaching resources i receive this error

"the half life launcher has expeirenced an unknown error"
"we are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused you"

and its frustrating me to no end because i would really like to play this game... alas, i will keep trying.

Try changing video modes, try another ESF download.

Try scan disk.

If one of those works then that should be helpful for you

i tried another esf download and it said cant find sierra/halflife/hl.exe autoexec.exe cant be found so i redirected it to sierra/halflife , would that have something to do with it?

It might be. However you could always make your own ESF folder and try that instead.
