Hey Stryker, thats great youve decided to make master roshi's, considering teh scale down, are you going to just make a small island with lots of water? How are you planning on doing it if you don't mind:D

Since the map has so few structures in it, maybe you could make it piecewise destroyable?
Cut the house up into intricate little pieces that are set to trigger each other (i.e. the roof will be triggered by a multimanager for the floor below it, and the second floor by the ground floor etc.). That way, the house can be taken realistically apart piece by piece. The pieces should probably be incredibly strong to start out with though, so it takes a long while.

You could also have the island itself be eventually destroyable, leaving only the ocean (and a minisub).

Alternatively, you could experiment with making waves on the beach, I've always wondered if a passable rotating (in the x or y axis) entity could work as waves...(It would sort of clip through the surface of the ocean, alternately rotating out of it, then back down again.)

Thanks for reading!

i know a friend that made a roshi's island map for dmz.

the walls, furniture, tvs, and other stuff was destroyable but it would be great if the entire building could be destroyed
its kinda lame when u throw a huge genki dama at it just to make a little hole in the wall!! :]

i think that having a master roshi map will be awsome, make it so its hard to destroy and u could go in it and see porn mags and stuff,, and go up to the room.
omg so cool

Hibiki; yes, I was worried about people getting stuck in them, crushed against the ground, etc., but I'm thinking that if they were passable, it wouldn't be as much of a problem. To get the effect just right though, there might need to be two rotating entities per wave (probably from 4 to 8 "waves" for an island) set just out of synch (it could then seem to change shape, and break).

*edited* Ugh, text art...not...working...
Notice how the rotations of the two waves are a little off: the center of the circles they proscribe are set one behind&below the other. These waves could break "on" (through) a beach or just before the shore. I couldn't draw exactly what would happen, the top of the wave would have to move differently from this, I just wanted to suggest a method.

For simple waves, they could just be sideways cylinders that barely show above the surface of the ocean before clipping into the shore. I don't think people could be crushed against those gently rolling waves.
Hope someone finds this interesting.
