random ideas that might balance this type of attack.
1) Maybe "push" beam attacks only go straight to make them fair, and fade out over time. They can be used more as an attack to get players off your back for a little, to help balance basic melee because its very hard to fight 1v2, 1v3, etc.
2) The speed of the beam could be altered (faster or slower, which ever would be better)
3) Only "ball" type attacks push you, so you cannot put more energy into the beam.
4) If your hit by a "push" beam without blocking, you begin flying with it, and have to use stamini/ ki to get out of the way, and the weaker the beam, the faster it fades out.
5) Your not allowed to detonate a "push" beam , so it wont do extra damage to balance it.
6) Blocking is still more efficient because if you are being pushed by a beam, you slowly take hp damage, while blocking allows you to reflect an attack back without taking damage at all (excluding being pinned against a wall)
7) Im not sure about ki costs, but you can make it more or less, to keep it from being spammed if overpowered.
8) (other) Animations would look nice, if you get shot in the back, your arms and legs would be spread out.
9) If the "push" beam kills you, then the beam vaporizes you, and it will eventually fade away as well.
10) In order to get out of the path of the beam, you could go into a struggle , with the meter being on the right, holding left click, and after some effort, you eventually get out of the way. Another speedier way would be to use that extra effort (ki/stamina) and lunge yourself away from the beam quickly.
