ECX Half-working problem

Hello, i'm new to this forum and to half-life modding, actually, but, i downloaded this and i saw that there is the ECX Addon, which gives the game more characters (the thing i like the most on dragonball games, and maybe in every fighting game) but when i installed, it didn't work at all, i uninstalled esf and everything else, and then installed in this order:
1.ESF 2.ECX RC2 3.ECX Big Pack
And, when i open the game, the background is diferrent (ssj vegeta shooting something) and the other maps are there, the custom hud works (i don't like it but at least it works), HOWEVER i can't use other characters, only the normal one, and to select them, it's just like the team selection from counter-strike 1.6 (idk if that's normal) but i can only select the normal ones (buu goku gohan frieza cell piccolo kuririn vegeta trunks...) and i can't select others from the ECX... Help me, please, i would really like to play this :c

Are you creating your own server, or are you joining an existing one?

1. Install a VALID version of Half-life (not counter-strike) which you have PURCHASED (no illegal versions as it wont work)
2. Install Esf 1.2.3 (from the ESForces main download page)
3. Download ECX (http://www.moddb.com/mods/evolution-class-xtension-rc2/downloads/esf-ecx-rc2)
4. Make sure it works properly before you decide to install the big pack.
5. Get the big pack from here (http://halflife2.filefront.com/file/Earths_Special_Forces_ECX_Big_Pack_v84;103213)
6. Download and install the big pack from here (http://halflife2.filefront.com/file/Earths_Special_Forces_ECX_Big_Pack_v84;103213)

Im quite an experienced esf user myself and this is the exact method i use for installing/re-installing esf (if i had reformatted my hard drive)

Moderators please feel free to look for any points that i have missed or anything i have done wrong, thank you.

Also, on another note. You can only access the ECX format on ECX servers not ESF ones. If you play on an original ESF server you will not be able to access ECX at all, only when you join a ECX server.

IIRC, ECX should be installed into Half-Life folder (not esf). Check if you did that.
