Earth special forces Executable out of date

when i try playing esf it says that the earth special forces executable is out of date then trys to download an update for half life, but my half life is fully updated. anyone know how to stop this?

Yea use STEAM.

just tried that but still not working :\ when i tried registering my half life it said it had already been registered :S should i reinstall half life into steam or something?

Did you bought Half-Life?

Make sure your half-life key is legal, register the cd key with steam then let steam downlaod half-life. After that, play half-life once (walk around in the training room for 10 seconds and then exit) and then after you have done that proceed with installing esf.
