Earth Special Forces Error Please Help!!!

Ok, I came accross this website as i was looking for mods for DBZ. It looked pretty cool so i wanted to give it a go.

I installed Half-Life 1 then installed ESF.

I ran ESF and started a multiplayer lan game.

It then goes to the console and loads up some stuff, then gets to a part that says:

BUILD 1792 SERVER (0 CRC)
Server # 1
Missing bitmap font: gfx\vgui\fonts\1024_Scouterstats Text.tga
Missing bitmap font: gfx\vgui\fonts\1024_Melee Text.tga
]

It then comes up with a windows "Dont Send" message and it exits back to wondows.

Has anyone had this problem before? Could someone please tell me how they resolved it?

The missing files are nothing to worry about.

Did you install Steam?

Oh, i havnt installed steam. Will that get rid of the error?

And could you please tell me where i can buy a new cd key for half life 1?

Steam is required for you to play ESF and it should get rid of that error.

You can either buy another copy of Half-Life through Steam or your local retail store.

N hes just not using STEAM.

No it cant. You need the good old HL 1

I don't think they sell Half-Life at retails anymore.The best thing to do would be to buy it of the net for $9

Ok, If i want to play lan on my home network, do i have to purchase another copy of Half Life on each other pc or can i just login to my steam account on each pc?

You could install steam on both, just one pc would need to run steam in offline mode as far as I am aware.

playing with one steam account in a network works just fine. I do it frequently when I play with my cosin on the other comp
