I just received this from a friend at school, and I must say this is a pretty nifty software. With this software you can sync your files anywhere. It's a small software which "links" your computer to be able to share your files and folders and downloads the files/folders to another computer. It also leaves a copy of the files on the DropBox website. Here's the general information about DropBox:

- Never e-mail yourself a file again
- Automatically backup your files online
- Keep files synced between computers
- Share files easily with others
- NEW: Sync files with your iPhone

If you are interested, please use the ollowing link to register:
https://www.getdropbox.com/referrals/NTI2OTEyNDI5

Why a referral? If you use the referral, I get 250MB extra space. And no, that's not all. If you use the referral link, you also get 250MB extra space on top of the 2GB you get for free. It's up to you if you wish to use the referral link :). Just wanted to let you share, you can only get a max referral of 3GB with the example below:
So far you've earned 0 bytes of the 3.0GB maximum bonus space possible from referrals.
Just wanted to share this nifty software which I'll be using. You can link and unlink any computer you may have on the list, so got a computer at home you no longer wish to have synced as perhaps someone on the computer is using it? You can unlink the computer from the dropbpx website. Dropbox even lets you go back in time to undelete or undo changes to files!

^ Ignore the dutch windows ;).

Do I need to redownload it if i want a file for other computer?

Like lets say I uploaded a file from my desktop computer, do I need to go all over the download sequence to get the file to my laptop?

Depends. If you wish to have the files synced on the other computer (in this case your laptop) then yes. How ever, you don't have to. You can also login on the website in order to view and download your uploaded files which is quite handy :). And thanks for signing up with the referral link :).

Isn't this like, somewhat the same to Microsoft's Skydrive, except on Skydrive you get 25GB for free IIRC.
