I'm pretty sure Goku and Vegeta won't fuse. You calling God of Destruction "anubis" and saying that the other guy is probably even stronger, while he's actually only an attendant (just like Kibito is to Kaioshin) proves that you know very little to nothing about Battle of Gods, so you shouldn't be throwing such words as "obvious".

Boo was defeated without fusion. Why can't Bilus? Also Gogeta is Toei's invention and I highly doubt this character would appear in a movie in which Toriyama is said to be involved (script writing, even). Just stop throwing random assumptions as facts and just wait for the very movie.

It doesn't seem like it's meant as a form, from the context. It just seems to be what that "fish" is calling Goku in the battle with this cat god.

I think the Great Ape being shown was probably some sort of figurative thing, like when Goku went SSJ3, you see the Great Ape roar, then form into Goku as a child curled into a ball.
