Downloaded Maps

Hi, I downloaded some new maps from http://www.esf-world.com/main.php?content=download&category_id=1097

But when I download them they're in rar format, now when I put them into the ESF/MAPS folder and then run ESF the new maps don't show up.

Any help would be glady appreciated.

Double check the folder(s) it extracted it to? It is possible that it extracts do a different folder, such as: Half-life/esf/esf/maps or Half-life/esf/maps/maps... Double check the folders, and make sure the BSP files are in the MAPS folder located in your ESF folder.

Thanks, I thought I had to unzip them or something...

Thanks, I'll try that, I put the files into ESF/MAPS, Ill try that different directory, I thought I had to unzip it or something lol.

Not unzip. Unrar it. XD

RAR files use WinRARs compression method. You can get it at www.rarlabs.com

Oh and you can also extract ZIP files with it.

As for the maps.

BSP files go into the maps foulder
WAD files go to the ESF foulder
TGA files go to gfx\evn foulder
MDL files go to the models foulder


other than than you normaly get the foulders in your RAR file so you just paste the foulder over the existing one and the files are autoadded ^^
