When a player flies across your screen, I think a feature that would further immerse the player in the game would be the Doppler effect. For those of you who are unfamiliar with what the Doppler effect is (Just listen to the first soundclip...):

I watched Darktooth's "Surprise Surprise" video and noticed that when Goku is flying to meet Frieza at the beginning, the aura
has a continuous aura sound rather than a flying sound. What I mean is, the sound that plays when Goku was flying should only be playing when he is standing still... and should have a jet sound when he is flying.

Glowing of beams:
When Frieza makes a death ball, it is only after he throws it does the ball emit a glow. But it should be glowing the entire time, right?

Transformations:
It would be cool when you can insta-trans... your whole screen flashes white and you can just see a black and white version of the character

Since Trunks only has 1 trans... Maybe we can include stronger Trunks... (The one who kills both the androids 17 and 18)

You do realize that Trunks has two transformations, right? And what vid are you talking about?

Sounds difficult to incorporate. You'd have to take relative speed of players into account. It's an effect most people wouldn't even notice.

Doppler Effect : I personally would love subtle pitch-bending based on velocity and distance. I myself am audiophilic, but I fear it may be too subtle to expect most people to recommend adding it.

Glowing of beams: Thats because the charge object is different to the beamhead object, and only one of them emits light. I agree that they should both emit light.

Transformations: This kind of effect would be pretty cool. I have my faith in Dalte and DT ^_^

If i recall the deathball emits a glow while its beeing charged.

Atleast it did at one point ^^;

heh dude i ALWAYS wanted that flash black n white effect, and you sir....THANK YOU for reminding me...WILL BE DONE!!! your wish...has been granted *KAPEWWW PEWWW WRINGGGG* those are sound effects. yay post some more ideas dude

Ok Dalte... here are some more suggestions for thee : )

Explosions:
Explosions/smoke need some changing... The explosions in the Anime were alot more explosive... firey... smoky... the ones in ESF currently are more of a light show


Lighting/Shadowing:
When you fire a beam, the color of the beam should be concentrated in front of you... and heavy shadows behind... more contrast needs to be emphasized in game



Goku needs some heavy revamping~ especially the hair. Also take a look at the LIGHTING differences in the clothing. The aura should light up the clothes.

Transformation Ideas:
Trunks' Transformation (Episode 105)
Trunk's purple hair spikes up first, and then slowly turns a golden yellow.

The Goku in the ESF pic is SSJ2 though. So the hair is more correct ^^

But anyway... the coloring, lighting, and overall shaping of the hair needs fixing. Looking at ESF's Goku, it's hard to tell the difference between SSJ1 and SSJ2... whereas the difference in the Anime is rather noticable. Take a look:

AFAIK the goldsrc player models are "limited" to around 4000 polygons(i think... i kind of have a memory of a common fish) so there is only so much they can do with the player models

And since the models are "low poly" the lighting/shadowing would look as good as the anime right?

Besides, who wants to spend every last poly on hair anyway?
Well to be honest... it is the hair, after all, that defines a dragon ball Z character... so I would say devoting special attention to the hair is important.
