So recently Tom Francis (Maker of Gunpoint) started a youtube tutorial on how to use Game Maker (What he used for Gunpoint and his new game Heat Signature, Was also used for Hotline Miami)

So I've been learning how to do that which is fun

What I have is pretty basic so far but it's ahead of what has been taught which I'm kinda proud of :)

Funny little interaction :)

I'd recommend you to add a score and a limitation(either by time or resources). Also, the game would be awesome if you add some audio(preferably self-taped using your own voice).

Anyway, nice to see you picking up game development :)

TY. The Blue blob was part of the tutorial but the green one was my own work :)

I'd recommend you to add a score and a limitation(either by time or resources). Also, the game would be awesome if you add some audio(preferably self-taped using your own voice).
There was a limitation (single life) but I added respawning to make it last forever lol
I haven't learnt how to add sounds yet lol

Anyway, nice to see you picking up game development :)

Compiling and uploading the exe to dropbox is easier lol (I assume you meant of the game itself)

Little bug for you then.

The player is not restricted to the level. He can move off the screen and be untouchable by the blobs.

Also not sure if this was intended or not, but the green blobs and final explosion on their death spawn in random locations after getting shot. While the blue ones shrink and explode as they take damage.

Other than that. Its a nice start :)

I haven't worked out how to restrict the player yet lol. Not sure why the green ones explode where they would have moved to had they lived. Perhaps I just need to rearrange some code
