Out of the many video game developers I've seen come and go, I'd have to say I miss Westwood Studios the most. Despite being a small team, they produced some incredible games. In fact, I still play Command & Conquer, Command & Conquer: Red Alert, and Command & Conquer: Survivor. Other great games they made were Blade Runner, Dune 2000, Emperor: Battle for Dune, Command & Conquer: Renegade and Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2. I haven't play any of there other games yet, but I'm definitely going to check them out.

Another developer (actually, two developers) I miss is Corey Cole and Lori Ann Cole. They were responsible for the Quest for Glory series.

PC! :)

This is Dune II for the PC (and perhaps other consoles as well)

The follow up Dune 2000 was great as well:

Indeed they did. I still remember the green westwood logo.

I miss RareWare as they were in the old days. I also miss the old Sonic Team, before they went and dragged Sonic's name and fame through the dirt.

Black Isle... wait weren't they just a subdivision of BioWare? or became BioWare?

Digital Anvil too. I still play Freelancer on occasion.

Sega definitely. They made the best RPG of all time, Phantasy Star 4. But they screwed up the series by turning it into an MMORPG with Phantasy Star Online and Phantasy Star Universe. Seriously WTF? I expected a sequel with PSU, but what do I get? A *** story that's a mask for some single player mode when the game is actually based on the multiplayer.

FFS.

They did, but everyone who made the Westwood games basically up and left the studio once that happened making today's westwood the same in name alone

THQ is a publisher, and they raked in roughly 1 billion dollars last year. So yeah, their still around. They mainly do licensed games though
