Diabetes is hereditary in my family, hopefully I dont get it, but this is good news, TY for sharing:yes:

Well, good that they found a cure and all, yay science.. But it'll take ages before the medicine is being made public, like all medicines, that's the sad part.. People that have it now (or about to get it in the near future) still won't get cured.

Well i dont know anybody who has diabetes, but if this works, im glad for those who have it.

This news is fantastic.
Same here, my grandpa had diabetes and my cousin whose 12 has juvenile diabetes.

Definitely promising. We've been close before though, they had that process of inserting... it was either islet cells or stem cells that turned into islet cells, i can't remember which, so rather than insulin all the time, they just needed anti-rejection drugs. It worked on a couple people, but other labs weren't able to reproduce the results, and a few of the people relapsed... this was a couple years ago.

At least they may have found a cure and can start curing people. Maybe not today or in the future anytime soon, but at least they're trying.

Well if this hits the mass market, no **** can be talked about Canada.

But it'd be global achievement to have a cure, or at least a massively improved treatment, for such an unfortunate disease.
