I don't know what to do, there getting really annoying, and I'm not going to reformat becuase
Im not going to throw away year's of data! =(
I have the entire DBZ Episodes on this PC damnit!
plus my favorite animes (chobits, elfen lied ect)

Truly *RANDOM* crashing generally = overheating/hardware failure

You do realize that you can *backup* data right? Also, you can install XP over itself without formatting, although any currently installed programs won't be "installed" anymore (since there's no registry entries for them). Just pick "leave filesystem intact" when it asks how you want to format the drive.

You should isolate the problem before doing anything like formatting though, it's probably your cpu overheating or something stupid

I really think you should clean out your case for dust and see if that helps (dust will usually clog up in your case & fans and effect the airflow in your case).
