Confused

Firstly, I can't get enough of ESF or at least v1.2.3. I downloaded the open beta 1.3 in the hopes of enjoying it more, until i hit the steam snag. I bought my half life 1 online but its an old version, still uses valve. I don't know what to do now, do I buy half life 2(does ESF 1.3 even work on Half life 2 ?) and create an account with steam, or do i have to buy a new half life1 from steam? Please Help

your old halflife will work on steam if you have a serial key for it if not then you will have to buy from the steam store for what only 5$ and keygens wont work

I have a serial key, do I install HL1 and then steam,create an account and then install ESF 1.3?

what you do is install steam open it then look for the games tab and and look in the menu bar for games then click activate a product on steam imput your game key and it should download from steam itsself

Install steam, create an account, then register your serial to steam, HL should be in your game list, install that & then install ESF 1.3
