I've been talking in the chat, and am worried how few people actually know about it. So i'm going to edu-micate you lot on it!

Comic relief is a british charity that, once every two years, holds a charity event called red nose day. They run a telly marathon (with lots of fun and big stars!), and raise a lot of money for charities around the world. So far the total is £24 million, a serious amount of cash.

They run comedy and serious sketchs to entertain and help persuade people to vote, and they also get money from various fundraisers (people that do wachy things to raise money!)

They also bring out a red nose every 2 years, and this year they were hairy, and came with free hair gel! Cue much fun and merriment :D

What's your opinion on this, and have you heard of it?

Monkey humping pint glass in front of a national (and hopefuly adult) audience. British humour at it's best folks.

y do they need Ali G? The UN already is a joke in the US's eyes... if this war goes ahead the UN will go the way of the league of nations.

I think it sounds like a very unique, genuine approach to a very good cause. Tho I have never heard of such a thing, I can only imagine that it goes over quite well in Europe. Interesting, thanks for the info, Onion ;)

well to put it bluntly, ur not ;) a £ is a pond something completely different then the euro, the brittish ppl kept there own currency for some reason I don't know of. And the euro is 1.08 dolar :)

Anyways, I think that comic relief thing is a great idea, should happen in a lot more countries for charity!
