CD Projekt will never use DRM again, said joint CEO Marcin Iwinski at a talk at GDC. Speaking to a rather thinned crowd, presumably dented by the post awards celebrations of the night before, Iwinski was explaining CDP’s philosophy for success with a PC exclusive game. And one element of that was to completely abandon DRM, since “It doesn’t work at all.” The talk also revealed how The Witcher 2 had sold over a million units, mostly in retail, but only 75,000 of them in the UK.

hum 1 mil units, 75k in uk, dem brits, pirating *****es =(

On another note, this is one of the many reasons I love Cd Projekt, they are truly faithful to their consumers. They don't give us bull**** with our games, they give away patches for their games for free, (Witcher 2 Enhanced for example), also truly listen to feedback from fans. Just a win company, hope they make many more games to come. (hoping for a Witcher 3) XD

Finally! A company recognizes that DRM is pointless as everything gets cracked anyway. This allows them to develop a better game and gets rid of DRM problems like some games from a certain company had. *cough* Ubisoft *cough*

Witcher series is fantastic!
