Can't connect

I can't connect! It says enter Half Life cd key and when I enter the key game exits. What shall I dooooo?

go to a shop ... buy (any version of) Half-Life ... type in your new key ... and be happy

First off do you own a half life cd /w cd case? If you don't follow what nretep said. If you do I suggest uninstalling Half Life then reinstalling it and try entering the code on the back of your half life cd case. If that don't work throw it out the window and be gone with it I say.
