Magnesium is even required for our body, but certain countries (mine for example) purify water with chlorine, which is toxic in larger quantities. Hell, even FLOURIDE can be harmful, not fatally, but harmful, if you constantly drink tap water. I'm not joining Jinx's team or anything like that, but chlorine and flouride aren't harmless. And they are used to purify water. That's why you should choose filtered water over tap water.

Im sure this filter would've come in handy during those droughts that Georgia, Tennessee, and the rest of the south endured this winter. I mean... its pretty bad that Georgia borders the whole Atlantic ocean and cant use a single drop of that water due to the salt. If they had access to this filter, it would've relieved the drought MUCH faster than using the rivers.
