hey im using 98 se and i'm gonna get a graphics card im willing to spend 125$ right now i use a GeForce2 Mx/Mx 400 what would u use is 5500 98 se compatible? is Ati Compatible? whats best for me

You have a lot of choices, best thing you could do is go to Newegg and put in Max Price of 125, or go Right Here.

Low budget cards are definatly not my spectrum. If I had to suggest anything I'd say the 5700 LE would be best. Most, if not all of them should work with 98 SE, just make sure you get the right drivers.
By the way, what is your reasoning for not being on XP? Surely you can get it one way or the other.

As far as I know most cards would be compatable

Yes but you use xp

He just uses 98 from the sounds of it

98 is in the unsupported phase, you won't get driver updates for anything, I suggest a new PC, or at least a new OS.

I'm with Cuc on this one. You REALLY need to upgrade. Not sure where you're gonna get a cheap copy of XP.



Best bet is to get a new PC all together....
