band advertising? radio stations?

k well im not going to post the link in here =D, its not that kind of thread, but my brother was asking me if i knew any online radio stations where he could get their music played, like lets say one where he could send them the mp3s and then they play them, does such a thing exist?

so far he has been handling all of his bands publicity via myspace and selling stickers/tshirts with the bands myspace url on it, and he is trying to get them on at warped tour via a contest so he wants more publicity, thus i am asking

I would imagine the band would have to be pretty good to get their music played on a radio station. Well, if you have a specific radio station in mind, just get their contact information, contact them and see what they can set up.

Purevolume is where a lot of bands have gained popularity and they have a myspace-like music player, but this website is just for bands.

I don't know if Last.fm has something too, but he can try that as well.

How heavy are they? KBPI's Metalix is a show where they love to play a lot of bands that are trying to get their start, though a prequisite is heavyness. Post a link to the band anyways, or at least PM me so I can give them a listen to determine if they're something they'd likely play.

not heavy at all unfortunately, they arent exactly my genre of music so i dunno what to classify them as so ill leave that one to you.
