Baldurs gate 2 *who's played it?*

Anyone here played this fantastic rpg?

If so, what characters did you gave and did you use any custom portraits or sounds?

Heres my character (guess who )

She's a paladin (like my lvl 30 paladin I created before this)

So many memories. Good to see someone else out here likes it. And power to the Paladins, Paladins own the universe in BG2. :yes:

I OWN [yes, i purchased them] every installment of the Baldurs Gate series made.

I have a gnome, fighter/illusionist, totally maxed him to the cap. [uncapped him after completing the game, and loaded from the last point b4 the cap kicked in, then went ballistic ]

He was/is the total package, especially with elven enchanted armour that allowed me to spellcast whilst wearing it.

I completed BG2, i was meticulously thorough, and did every different scenario my class would allow, it took me more than a month to clean the game out entirely, and i played it every spare moment..................... Basically, what im sayin here is, if you wanna try an RPG for the first time, baldurs gate, or any of its addons or expansions is definately the way to go.....

btw: forgot to mention, BG2 was the FIRST rpg i ever played, i purchased BG1 and expansions after completing BG2, If it wasnt for BG2, i wouldnt have the serious appreciation for RPG's that i now posess.

I am starting again (hence the new character) because im stuck on the expansion final boss (I won't say who is is ^^) and need to play again to lvl up more.

Also, anyone else have custom portrait or sound pack they use? Thats what some of the point of this thread was

Well, in the spirit of that, I tink I will make a mage with Magus as the portrait... won't be able to do much for a sound pack for him, tho... unless I can find a suiting one for him... got any URL's for soundpacks, Ryoko?

i would make a potrait 4 my NWN char

I did make that custom portrait using photoshop tho ^^

ahmm.. yeah i have already a portrait but i don't know where i have to save it.
and i think only someone who is playing NWN and who is having a custom portrait know how to do it

Taht's soooo easy...save all your custom portraits in the Portraits folder under the NWN folder...duh!!

have i to save it under a special name?
does it need a special size like 100x200??

ok.
it needs to be a bmp file with certain dimensions. These can be found here (they also need a special name)

tga is just an other picture format like gif, jpg, tif...

and a lv22 half elf mage

Dude, whatever you made the portraits with, when you click Save make sure you save it as a .TGA. That's what the game looks for. And it should be in the same list where you choose to save it as a JPEG or BMP files.
