I need help. When i get an image or anything and i erase it instead of just the normal gray and white squares which mean no background i get this part of a background i made for my sig and its always there and i have to erase it and its a pain in the ass cause it wont erase very well so it makes images all the more harder to cut. I guess i some how made it a default background somehow. Any one know how to fix it please?

You mean you want a transparant background when making a new file? Easy, go to New File and then you get a pop-up asking what stuff you want, below the Heigth and Width they ask you, there should be something like

*White
*Transparant
*Background Color

White should be selected, so select transparant, and you will have no background. And you don't have to delete everything with the eraser you know, you can also just delete the layer.
