Has anybody else picked this up yet?

I got my copy today, and after playing it for a couple of hours, I was completely overwhelmed. I doubt I've even scratched the surface of the content, but if you liked the first Assassin's Creed, this one will no doubt blow you away.

Funny thing about that ...

I picked up Dragon Ball Raging Blast, got bored of it after 4 days, traded it in for a measly $15 store credit at Gamestop and used that toward Assassin's Creed 2, and shockingly, I am yet to play it. I bought it 2 days ago, mind you.

Assassin's Creed was a great game. I wasn't about to miss up on the opportunity to play its sequel, even if I am broke.

Can't wait to play it. Probably going to have to wait to play it once my neighbor is done with it.

I never really loved the combat, it was okay but nothing special, but the free running is what i loved in the first game. I look forward to the pc release.

I liked the first one at the price I got it for ($10 US). It got very repetitive for me, so I'm in no particular rush to get the second one until it's available for a similar price.

I wouldn't pay the initial, launch price for either game. I might change my opinion on that if the second installment isn't as monotonous as the first one.

So many reactions while so few people in here played it.

Yes, it's better than the original. Much better. More diversity in everything. You can customize your armor, weapons, and even rebuild a fortress. Ezio is a much more capable Assassin than Altair. There are more moves, more weapons, very entertaining missions and even sidemissions with very tangible rewards.

I have to say, the story, or should I say "optional" backstory (I'm guessing it's optional, I'm just collecting more on the story because it is seriously interesting stuff) is absolutely amazing and if you're even a little bit of an conspiracy theorist you're going to jizz your pants at the amount on conspiracies in this.

Also, the locations are much more varied and with Ezio being able to swim, open up a whole new way of picking off your targets.

I gotta say, this game was well worth my 60 bucks, I've sunk nearly 20 hours into it now and I haven't even finished the main story yet. Long story short, it's worth your money, if you even remotely liked the first one, you're going to love this one.

For me its not gonna cost 60$ to play this game, its gonna cost more like 1260$, I need a new machine xD

I'd finish both AC1 and 2 if I had a better machine

This game's pretty well done. As is most of Ubisoft's games.

So far I've managed to obtain one piece of "The Truth", which appears to be a short video clip of 2 naked women leaping toward a pond of some sort, that looks as if it is resting in a city square, or something. I know nothing yet.

(lol, that looks like a guard's body hanging from the side of a building).
