Normal map textures to be exact. And as far as i know yes we do have diffuse maps set.

I believe what Grega wanted to say is that the generic ideas are from DB (and not even necessary), but everything else is up to the mapper. Like "Oh, there was this... desert place... OK! Let's do a deserted place!" It may resemble DB, but won't be accurate.

Its huge. Dalte said the player is a speck somewhere in the middle of that explosion. He's zoomed out pretty far.

yea its hard to get a sense of scale in this pic, no point of reference.
theres like the same rock cloumn formation in 3 diff sizes(a bit confusing),
and i guess if them lil green things are cacti you can guage how a player will look in the map

It would be really cool to be able to fight under the mist.

This way you will have to use the radar thing more than your character's eyes, is like sensing the opponents ki and know where is he/she but you cant see him/her.

So whoever is brave enought will go in , who knows if he/she will come back alive muahahaha

Hmm perhaps if possible to code a timed rise of the mist. Like the mist gets higher over time of the match, until you ultimately have to rely on aura glows and radar to know where your opponents are. But i guess that would hinder the fast paced nature of the gameplay
