*Goes to watch Armageddon*
It pases twice, once in 202x and one in 203x (can't remember exact dates), either way, its the second time that's the danger, because it will hit our upper atmosphere the first time, the second time no one is sure what will happen.2036 ... I thought Aphophis was supposed to pass in 2033
Exactly, no one is sure what the asteroid will do when it enters the upper atmosphere. It will be lower than our sattelites, and will make one hell of a light show. On the next trip around, it might hook into our orbit, Russians think it will, NASA thinks it won't. Its not quite a world killer, but a lot of people will die if it hits.ohh so theres no danger the First time with the skimming of the atmosphere and the 50/50 chance of orbital decay ahh well no danger there just the seconds time when it collides or possibly collides
As long as they say where it hits, so i can make sure not to be in the area ^^;Considering overpopulation, it might not be such a terrible thing if it does hit in the grand scheme of things...
It should definitely hit China.Considering overpopulation, it might not be such a terrible thing if it does hit in the grand scheme of things...
And bring forth a worldwide economic collapse? It should definitely hit China.
If it was big enough to make the ocean flood all land, then we would be dead no matter where it hit. What if it just goes straight in the Pacific Ocean and floods the rest of the world? Nowhere will be safe then.
