Actually, that looks pretty freaking ownage.

I know it's not completed, but here's some ideas:

- Make dust sprites kick up around the building
- Maybe add some flying debris (powerup rocks maybe?)
- Get a sound that's played when the building collapses

I wonder how much lag this would create in online play. :x Still pretty cool though. :3

The sprites and sound are planned to be added. Counting everything it needs 7 to 10 entities per building. So i think there is room ^^

Almost no lag, entities, I checked this out, pretty damn good grega! I love ya man, this will own hl2, well not really, lol.

wat would be cool is when u destory it. instead of the building just falling it could fall like in meny peaces.

That my friend is not possible.This"destruction" is just trickin the HL engie.

I am afraid you are wrong, it is possible. I've seen a movie on HL2Files.com about "such" destruction. But it was a ball that hit some boxes. It was exactly like Half-Life 2, but i wouldn't be surprised if this would greatly hit the FPS. But besides the point, this really looks great. I am really surprised.

Thats a modification of the engine. I didnt modify the engine one bit. Its a simple trick with hammer.

hehe, lol, grega is more of a, hmmm how can I put this, errrrr...lol acalculative(not right word) then an terrain artist, do'nt get me wrong, his terrain still pwns, just he likes to play around with entities and stuff, I'd never be able to figure out how to do that on my own, I do know how now though.

haha nice. Hmm, besides adding smoke and effects, can you add how much damage the building can take (like secret hp).

That way buildings can hold their own for a little while before being destroyed. Or else you will have a flat map after 2 minutes of playing lol.

Thats actualy one of teh 2 major bugs it has. The other one is worse though. You cant walljump off it. So ill have to redo the system a difrent way ^^

If you were to make the building break into pieces (which you can) then judging by the size of the building, your FPS would take a large hit.

If you made invisible walls around it then no one would be able to go within that area. It's a good idea though.

Nice job Grega, in all the time I have been mapping I have never once thought of having a building collapse on itself like that. Reminds me of Duke Nukem 3D on one of the first levels where you had to blow up the building to get in the sewer.
