who would play that crappy game anymore? it was cool for the time it lived but ESF has overpowered it by far in graphics, and game play. in BFP your beams go straight from what i remember and the models were not all that great lol expcept for a few i had when i played. but it really has lost in the mod world since theres more and better dbz mods out there now

Actually I don't believe that at all. ESF is great, it's came a long way, but BFP (being on the Quake III engine) definatly has better graphics and more poly models than HL. I really WISH they made ESF for Q3, I don't really believe that the HL engine works well with this kind of game.
Don't get me wrong, ESF is great, and better than BFP. But I'm pretty sure the engine on Q3 is far more capable than the engine on HL. Had Funi not shut it down I think it would have been far better than ESF. But thats just speculation, I have know way of knowing that obviously.

the site is dead , lukky me that i've it in time :D

my opinion is that bfp has on a way the higher rang that esf, bfp never made it worser.
and tassader is right, the grabits are way higher that in esf becours of the q3a engine.
i still play it and even like it more then esf, bfp has even his own style of chars.

and for the ones that doesn't know it jet, bfp1.2 is NOT the final release.
bfp2 is buzzy to be made, ti even get's his own engine(that means that bfp2 is the engine)

A few months back, i reinstalled BFP, and it wasn't half bad. The maps were humongous, and ran really smoothly. When you bombarded your enemy with gazillions of kiblasts, it was real class, especially with the nice graphiced animations. It is quite ashame ESF or another DBZ mod was never made on there, because that engine, i'm sure, had alot of potential.

TDIR was on the star wars jedi knight dark forces game... you can look on MODDB for jedi knight 2 mods... it was a mistake to put it there since it was for jedi knight 1... but yeah go there

I played it for 10 minutes then went onto their forums to see if other people thought it sucked as much as me and saw a thread about ESF, which lead me to here.

I don't think you can compare esf and bfp ... kinda like comparing hl2 to doom3, both great in their own rights im sure... just... different games.

bfp is much more action oriented, esf is a lil more 'tactical' you could say. (thats what they call REALLY SLOW in the gaming world :) )

Im still tryin to find E'BFP. Its a version of BFP that is just all DBZ characters. From Dr.Gero to Master Roshi, and even a Trunks model with a usable sword. Anyone have it, or know of a working link cause i have found some links, none of which that work :S
Unless it doesnt excist anymore, then nvm. Thx anyway :]

EBFP when i last tried a few months ago had hardly any players (took me ages to actually find the files) and some of the character's moves were basically the same or looked really rushed.
Its not really all that different from BFP really.

It has cooler player models though, and some maps that resemble parts of the Series.

Agreed...I fallowed them for god knows how long and to see funimation come in like that and shut them down. Uncalled for, there is hardly a reason to do that other than to be greedy :S . BFP had a long way to go but it was still graphically superior to EFS but I will give EFS great credit for the melee system, nicely done. Not to say EFS lacks everywhere else, great game..surpassed BFP at this point or any other non-commercial mod, but if BFP was on going...my money would be on BFP :] .

Also on a slightly unrelated note: Did anyone fallow the fall of DBQ (Dragonball quake) I know Funi shut them down but I'd like to know the whole story...Now that game even had a RPG mode in the works, I think it had the most potential of its time.
