if u got a geforce i would recommend to download the newest Nvidia Detonator Drivers @ www.nvidia.com

depends what GF card he has. if he has a GF 2 GTS for example. the 23.11 detonator drivers are the best. since the newer drivers are adding more to newer cards like GF4 cards. and they are kinda placing the GF2 cards on a 2nd place. 3rd place even.
