Another installation problem

okay. I got a bought version of Counter Strike. I have ran it already a couple of times. Now i cannot get the installation to run cause when browsing for a folder to put it in, the "OK" button doesn't light up. Nor does the "Install" button. Any Ideas?

The game is installed now. But the game will not run now. Everytime i double click the icon on my desktop it runs Counter Strike and opens up my console and thats it....Help please? lol Oh and after the installation i do not see the game on steam in the games section.

Do you have Counter-Strike installed to steam properly? Have you tried reinstalling esf &/or steam or cs?.

Yes i have done it all. And i do have Counter Strike. I do not have condition zero.

I didn't buy a pack. I bought the game off my friend. it is Counter Strike 1.6

The only thing I can think of, is that the CS 1.6 you have is from a CZ pack.

You should ask your friend if the CS 1.6 is from the Condition Zero pack.

In order to play ESF, you can only use HL1 (not Source) or CS 1.6 Retail, and not the CS 1.6 included in the Condition Zero pack. It's missing certain files that ESF needs in order to run.
