Another ESF site?

The "unofficial" Red Saiyan that Mark worked on got killed off because of Kurt deleted everything and of course impostered me on my account and yeah he had my password.

I know I've impersonated you (by using your accounts) on a few sites, but I don't remember any ESF-related sites. I'll take credit for it though lol, maybe my memory is just a bit foggy...

Hosting a content site uses a lot of bandwidth, what host are you going with? I know you're not even close to 18, and probably don't have a 'real' job, so how are you going to afford this?

Why is there no interest in ESF World? Because when I try to download a 1 mb file, I have to wait 20 minutes for a download that takes a couple of minutes. Sorry, but I'll be happy when a new, better, ESF resource site will be released. So do the best you can DJ^Swift.

yeah man thats really true, if you try to download a big file then you have to wait like 30 min, but esf-world is pretty cool though, esf could use another web site, maybe it will get popular

In the US, you can get a job at age 16. I'm very close to it. Hint hint, i'm 15.

I'm going to find some sponsors, and if not i'll get my dad to pay for some space.

You do realise you would need a lot of space right? With all the Files to download and the popularity of this modification. It would take a lot of bandwidth. Like on HL2Files, the ESF v1.2.3 full client has been downloaded over 120.000x, total bandwidth of that is about 1.560.000MB.

That 120,000 times is over a how long time period? Doesn't bandwidth get refreshed like every month? So how many downloads do you get average a month?

Not to forget, you get 120,000 downloads because your like the only website that doesn't have a 20 minute wait. But this doesn't mean that ESFiles (if that name stays ) will also get 120,000 downloads. Depends on if esforces.com adds it as a mirror.

I'm quite familiar to the bandwidth because I used to help with the ever so popular specialists-central.org which is dead. [Specialists Mod Customization Site, also known as Fourgen]

We had atleast had over 5 terabytes in a month (Probably lower but from I remembered) in bandwidth usages , hell, it wasn't even on it's own server. It was on a server with 9 different populated sites, which are dead too due to the attacks.

I got 40 gigs of bandwidth, so if I start out low, I can start getting more later on to see who's downloading. To make this so we don't loose alot of bandwidth, i'm going to make for registered users only where users are allowed to comment on files, submit files, and use the same account to post on the forums, and might need a couple of Moderators later on if I do get it finished.

I could Host the Forums(got 5 GB Host with 1.5 MB max file size >_<) but i doubt that you need that kinda help ^^.

EDIT: Page does not currently work with Firefox. Try using Internet Explorer. I have put "This page is best viewed with Internet Explorer." ontop of the page. I have no idea why it's rendering the layout wrong.

But yes, in all seriousness, you're going to need quite a bit of bandwidth. I certainly hope you're not going with a "cheap" host or any sort of "shared" hosting plan. You'll want a dedicated box fo sho brah

Also:

Forums != content, forums that are extremely out of date that i could get admin access on in about 30 seconds are not a good thing...

Wouldn't want your site to become an impromptu meatspin mirror or anything

That's why right after it I said he'd need a dedicated, not shared setup. You're not gonna pull that kind of bandwidth on a shared setup (your host will bust a nut, as will other people on the server).
