i have got a prob with compiling but scanning log i can't see the prob. i'm building a open area map using a landscape generated by gensurf (i admit it, but its a good lil landscape generator). and it has an arena floating in the air like on a rock (i made that myself). my prob is that csg seems to compile fine but the others don't but say there is an error:

" BEGIN hlcsg
Command line: D:\SIERRA\MAPEDI~1\ZONER\HLCSG.EXE -hullfile d:\sierra\Counter-strike\esf\hulls.txt -nowadtextures -texdata 8192 -high "d:\sierra\map editor\maps\esf_skyarena"
Loading hull definitions from 'd:\sierra\Counter-strike\esf\hulls.txt'
Entering d:\sierra\map editor\maps\esf_skyarena.map

Using mapfile wad configuration
Wadinclude list :
[zhlt.wad]

0 brushes (totalling 0 sides) discarded from clipping hulls
CreateBrush:
(7.69 seconds)
SetModelCenters:
(0.00 seconds)
CSGBrush:
(32.46 seconds)

Using Wadfile: \sierra\counter-strike\valve\halflife.wad
- Contains 3 used textures, 75.00 percent of map (3116 textures in wad)
Using Wadfile: \sierra\counter-strike\esf\esf.wad
- Contains 1 used texture, 25.00 percent of map (70 textures in wad)
Using Wadfile: \sierra\counter-strike\esf\namek.wad
- Contains 0 used textures, 0.00 percent of map (37 textures in wad)
Using Wadfile: \sierra\counter-strike\valve\liquids.wad
- Contains 0 used textures, 0.00 percent of map (32 textures in wad)

Texture usage is at 0.11 mb (of 8.00 mb MAX)
40.54 seconds elapsed

END hlcsg

BEGIN hlbsp
Command line: D:\SIERRA\MAPEDI~1\ZONER\HLBSP.EXE -texdata 8192 -high d:\SIERRA\MAPEDI~1\MAPS\ESF_SK~1
>> There was a problem compiling the map.
>> Check the file d:\SIERRA\MAPEDI~1\MAPS\ESF_SK~1.log for the cause.

END hlbsp "

i also use zoner's hl compile tools.
would u know of the prob.

It's possible that the other don't have the right textures so it doesn't work correctly...

Check out that file and see if you can find anything. If you cant find anything, post it here so everyone else can take a look.

i did. that was all copied and pasted from the log!
i tried to fix it by retexturing the gensurf landsape but that hasn't done anything
wot i think is that the compiling tool is ignoring the landscape as it has not included the textures used on it. where it says only 1 texture used from esf.wad i have actually used 3 and the landscape is most the map so should be sumthing like 70% texture coverage.
i have converted the landscape brush from brush entity to world entity but still ignores it.
