<span style="font-weight: normal;">Our lovely modeler God Gundam showed us his new Android 17 model earlier this week. Turns out that the model that was shown last week was quite old. Either way, let's get to the point. Behold, the brand new A17 model!

<span style="font-weight: normal;">Raven and Darktooth were toying around with the Particle System earlier this week. They had some interesting outcomes. Here are some pictures of these results, enjoy the eyecandy!

I noticed this thread is a sticky. Must be so people know it's the latest news. I really miss the numbers in the beginning of threads, makes it much easier. Nice update though, I love it! :D

This particle system seems to be the thing that was missing from esf, that great feeling you get when you play on a map like that.
Oh, and you got to love the new sprite types and the A17 model.^_^

Wow I'm officially impressed damn good work ... only thing I feel that's limiting the HL1 engine from reaching the heights of the source is the amount of polygons on the models and the amount of triangles on the maps ... But what can I say ... I did never in my world believe that you could push it this far.

By the way long time no see ... a few years atleast ^^

if this is possible in hl engine, imagine what you could do with hl 2 engine, or crysis/ unreal engine (the one of gears of war).

P.D.: with this, could you do the burst limit aura (im not saying to do it, only asking if is possible, because the BL team were saying that was the best and blah blah blah, only for shutting their mouth)
P.D.2.: will the water still have waves? because i cant see them in the videos.

Yea water still has waves. Its just that the 3D skybox water isnt animated yet ^^

and a litle off topic:
does someone know how to play in half life levels with enemies? because im sure i saw it, i dont know where, i think here in a POTW.
Edit: I saw it, its half-esf. there are 2 videos and no enemies, but something is something. now my question is: how do i play it?because i put"map c1a0" and esf load it, but i cant play, when i choose a character, it start again, i choose again it restart, like a bucle. what do i do bad.

Edit 2: i discovered how to "play" in half life levels, but there is no enemies. well, its more a curiosity than a story mode, but if you include the half life storyline in esf... it shouldnt be dificult, look sven coop, its a multiplayer game with half life AI.
it could be great, kill zombies with goku, or frieza, or whatever you like. or better, the ginyu force is sended to earth and land in black mesa when all ocurried, and had the chance of colonize 2 planet in a strike (only context, the half life storyline is good for that)
