AMX + ECX RC2 = broken

I can't have ECX RC2 and AMX installed at the same time.

I know it has something to do with the AMX folder in the addon folder in the ESF folder , because whenever I exchange the AMX base folder with what's already installed, it breaks.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

ECX comes with AMXX installed allready. You dont need to install a new version.

In other words. As soon as you install AMXX over the one that comes with ECX. You overwrite the entire ECX plugginloader and thats why ECX doesnt work afterwards.

Does that mean you can load plugins like the PL changer without AMX though? I have a feeling that that's what he was trying to do, since i just had to reinstall everything because of not knowing this.

ECX made their own pluggin loading system. Meaning you only need to place the files into the correct directory and they are automatically loaded.

THough they did say something about banning cheat pluggins like the PL changer.

not if you place the powelevel plugin in to core plugins then change the plugins ini file in the addons folder

No that pluggin is a plain and simple cheat command that admins abused badly in the past. As such all talk about it was banned off esf-world and corona-bytes forums. Though this place still allows talks regarding PL changers.

You keep saying "AMX", not "AMXX". Are you using AMX Mod, or AMX Mod X? Because the latter is what you need, and it's automatically installed with ECX...

When they say AMX its usually allways AMXX ^^
