Haven't posted a thread in a long time. o_o
Well, alright, here's the deal.
I recently bought a new computer, which is much better than my old computer.
I installed Half-Life, and went to play ESF online.
As soon as I join the server, before I can even select a character I start getting cl_entityflushpacket and my ping is up in the 2000+ range.
I'm a 56k user, (average 56k ping is about 300) so the first thing I suspected was my ISP was messed up. I called them, they weren't experiencing any problems.
I went to play another mod (TFC), and it did the same thing! About a minute after connecting with that terrible ping, I would get the following error.
NET_Send Packet ERROR: WSAEINTR, and Half-Life would crash to the desktop.
I've never heard of this error before, so I looked around for help on the internet.
I didn't find any help, all I found were posts in various messageboards of people with the same problem and no solution! o_O
This is very serious! I can't play HL or any of it's mods online!
Has anyone ever had this problem before?
I've tried changing the clientport, that didn't work.
I've reinstalled Half-Life, that's not the problem. It's some kind of Winsock problem. Does anyone know of some modem properties I have to change?
P.S. - Don't even think about posting "Get cable", I can't, and it'll be the last thing you do. ;)
