I highly doubt that. Why would you ask that? Heard from someone you can?

No. But when I want to play games and talk on the msn I have to minimize it all the time, and if it is a heavy game it really disturbs gameplay.

If I activate a game via steam I just click in the game and go to my steam friends in the game.

So I thought maybe valve did something that makes you able to add messenger friends and talk to them via steam.

Never heard of such feature, so as I mentioned. I doubt they added it within steam.

That would mean that microsoft & Steam would have to work together. Would that really happen?..

not really, the steam team would have to implement the msn protocol. so you would also login into msn through steam and not through the msn messenger.
or other method would be an msn addin.

Wouldn't it be a bit different? I mean, Steam is a huge software. It's true that you can easily add a protocol within a software, though.. Steam is much different than other chat software.
