but this time it has biohazardous stiff around the arena (Doesnt damage yet,going to fix it)

For now its just for training purposes,but maybe Im gonna make it a tourny map

pics for now,forgive my horrendous lighting in the map,it was supposed to be a dim map,not a pitch black map....

EDIT: Hehe...I forgot to put, plans for the fixes later on....

-Clip the walls and ceiling to fix the beam problems
-Make water damage people(need balance issues here
-Make map a bit bigger
-LIGHTS!!!


EDIT: Did almost all of them,but I believe that leaving it pitch black is ok....because anyway the bioslime hurts....now I am recompiling it because I misplaced a clip brush ^^; and no the clip brush didnt help the beam prob,but it did help fix the bug where your head slices into the ceiling :)

well you need better screenshots if you want a good crit... from what i can see... that "map" needs alot work... make it complex... now is just like walls and water

yes I know,never good with vertex manipulation and the likes yknow,Im not too good with Hammer yet,and yes it needs a lot of work....for now Im putting it on hold because Im trying to make a CS map of my school,hehe blow up the principals office hehe....

BTW,what should I add??My mind has blown from yesterday,maybe barrels of toxic chemicals??BTW,its just a practice map,and its SLIME not WATER,changed it so it hurts 5hp a second,so dont stay in there for long....and yes I need to work on lights most,but the crazy compile takes an hour just to do such a map....

and it will be ready when it is done

hehe no Karrde,he's asking if he can help me develop my other map for CS aka Counter-Strike,which is my school,but its too complicated so I can't reproduce a near-to-perfect copy of my school anyway,r_speeds would be horrendous.Anyway Im dropping the project,but hope someone else in my school takes up the job

BTW,plans for next version are:
-Spectator room,so you can watch.Locked off from the players
-Barrels of chemicals :D Ill make it so that if they explode BOOM!
-Lower the damage of the toxic slime to 3.

BTW,anyone wanna host my map??Because Geocities will most likely will kill my site.I've had one hacked already,and it has my ESF downloads in it.

but back to the map. its a nice idea to make a map with bio chemical stuff ... but its a way too early to post screens of a map at this point :/ .. its like 1% complete if there is only a ring.

hehe i forgot to put that it was my first map for esf,i got a whole bunch of failed compiles in ESF,and this happens to be the only one which has compiled successfully.And I'm almost done with the spec room.Ill make it so that only spec mode players can pass through aka leave it solid.

besides,all those failed ones had failed vertex manip techniques,and they weren't even bad,i guess you could say FPS loss

EDIT: I wanted to prove your point from before.....in case you didnt notice....but hey its my first map,what can i do?need to get the hang of worldcraft again yknow

its not agains you, its more against those stupid comments .. becouse if anyone says that the map os great, he lies ... and u know that ur map is not great. but nearly everyones first maps was crap ^^
keep mapping n have fun with it ^^

I forgot to change the barrels to non-pushable entities....but yet again,theyre okay now.But now I want to know how to make a gas chamber type of room,just like The Rock in TFC.You just press a switch then poof poison gas all of a sudden.....how do i do that?

I don't mean to be mean, but of what I can tell from the pics this map is extremly plain and dark.
And I seem to not like this map very much.
