But from what i can see the error goes "LAN servers are restricted to clients: CLASS C"

Try entering sv_lan 0 in your console.

And how the hell did you manage to read that, Grega?

I know quite a few errors then i looked for familiar shapes in the wording. Though the real error says "local clients"

Put together the word length and shapes and i got the error.

sv_lan 0 does absolutely nothing!

Type "Version" into the console and tell me what it says?

Either your version is outdated, and upon entering "sv_lan 0" you should get an "Steam validation rejected" error. Or your versions is correct, and sv_lan 0 should fix your problem. If the command didn't work, try check the server.cfg (or ini, not too sure which one it is) and search for sv_lan.

Protocol 47 isn't the latest build. So either you are using a seriously outdated version of Half Life (which for some reason, you haven't updated..Steam does this automatically for you), or you are using an illegal version of Half Life(which can't updated, illegal versions are stuck on 47). Current protocol is 48 I think.

Well to be honest thats your problem. You are supposed to be using Steam seeing as how using HalfLife is considered essentially illegal without it. You wont be getting much help until you are using Steam.

Once you have installed Steam, activate your HalfLife through Steam using your serial. If that fails, you will have to purchase HL legitimately through Steam, or at a store (which you must activate manually via Steam). Once you have ran HL at least once, you will be free to install ESF, and everything will be as it should be, and will run properly.

You are in a way. The thing you have installed is a hacked STEAM HL 1 patch. So in essence its a STEAM hack ^^

It doesn't really matter if you wish to play it alone. If we are supporting people who are not using steam at all, we will be getting valve on our asses. That's why we won't support people who don't have steam with the original Half-Life.

I have steam but i don't know how to use the program itself!

I tried to do it the cheap way but no such luck i will try using Cd-key but i think it won't work!

STEAM only accepts legal CD-keys so if you dont have it then you dont really need to try ^^
