It seems people are once again willing to animate 1.3's Tien, but the old thread is redundant by now so I made a new one. Here is a list of (1.2) anims for him, obviously Darktooth has both team status and moderator status, so he can edit this list to blissful 1.3 correction:

F.A.Q

What is the Community Team?
The Community Team is a collection of forum members that aren't in the ESF team. Each member has a skill pertaining to content creation, be it modelling, spriting, animating e.t.c. They create content for the upcoming ESF 1.3 beta to ease the workload for the ESF team.

What are the Community Projects?
The Community Projects are the result of the various members of the Community Team coming together and focusing their talents into one goal. Once a project is finished, it can be sent to the ESF team for inclusion in 1.3.

Currently, there are two definite Community Projects and one possible:

-Operation Tien (in progress)
-Operation Chiaotzu (pending)
-Operation Gotenks (possible)

I'd like to help out/join the Community Team! Where do I sign?

How will Tien and Chiaotzu be implemented?
They will be in 1.3 via the 'buddy system', which supports players using more than one character at a time. This is to compensate a lack of transformations.

What attacks will Tien have?
On top of the regular generic attacks, Tien will have the Dodon Ray, Kamehameha, Solar Flare and Shin/Kikohou. How the team wish to implement them (strength, speed, ki cost etc) is up to them, as is his stats (HP, starting PL, Speed...)

What attacks will Chiaotzu have?
Currently the only one definately added will be the Dodon Ray. Other attacks are being considered.

I have a suggestion for Tien/Chiaotzu.
Post it in the Suggestions Forum, not this thread.

I want to help out but I can't model/skin/sprite.
Show your support and put an official Operation Tien badge in your sig, or give the animators feedback/encouragement in this thread.

I don't like this sprite/skin/sound...
Then do better, it's a community effort after all.

Gotenks?!
The team said if Tien and Chiaotzu were finished before 1.3's completion, Gotenks would be viable for addition. As they are not yet completed, he is of the lowest priority.

If Tien and Chiaotzu are added, then only one Z-Fighter is missing! Where's Yamcha?
There are currently no plans to add Yamcha as a stand-alone character or as a third buddy for Tien/Chiaotzu. Feel free to suggest it in the usual place.

well, I still have my sprites, though I can improve them since I've gained more experience. Also, sounds'll be easy.

Sounds were done by RavenTrunks and myself like, a year ago. We were going to use them for BTL but if this Tien gets animated then ESF can have them.

okie dokie then. Well, still wont hurt if I make new sprites. Looking back now, the sprites I made sucked. The Dodon Ray start especially.

shouldnt you take out all the melee animations since a new melee system is planned and most likely will be implemented?

I'll leave changing the 1.2 animation list to 1.3 to Darktooth, as he's one of the few people who actually knows it.

@Logan: Better make those sprites exactly like the show's, but 20X more bad ass.

That skin is re-vamped, although Tek wants to edit it further, or he is going to do a new one from scratch, and on second thoughts, I will to. That way we've got a bit of choice

Wow off topic.

I'm glad to see you guys are still trying to complete the project. I hope you guys get a ton of vollunteers over the next few days and actually hammer something out, because I'd love to see him get into the game.

Well we need to know the transformations for Tien. We need to know if he is going to have buddy. We also need to know his starting powerlevel and other things similar.

We do not need to know his starting power level. Also, if you'd read the design documents, you'd know that if he is completed he will be in a buddy system with chiaotzu.

really, i'd leave out all the advanced melee animations, you're gonna put people off with a list that big...

Good luck animating, seeming as milkshape has decided to work for me now... maybe i'll give it a shot... but i suck at animating =/

Also, it'd be a good idea to get hold of all the animations that were actually finished last time and start from where we left off

Great! I can't wait for all of this, it's s nice to know that Tien will finally get finished, now we only need to get all those animations, then they're done! And like said above, maybe a Goten/Trunks fusion thingy can be made, as some people have asked over the past months. I'm not pushing anyone, it would just be a great addition.

My net is going to be off for a few weeks, I am going to stop by my parents house every now and then to use thiers, but I'll start a chouzu model like tomorrow or something if you guys still want to add him to the mix :p.
