3dsmax 8 instal errors

ok i have no clue wtf to do everytime i install ( try to instal) 3ds max 8 i get this:

Error 1920. Service 'raysat_3dsmax8 Server'
(mi-raysat_3dsmax8) failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services.

i believe this has something to do with the mentalray tcp port,
mental ray port is standerdly set to : tcp 7501

does anyone have any ideah on how i can fix this
(please note,i am logged in as an administrator with my computer)

ok done that it worked now its saying :

cant initialise exe becouse file d3dx9_26.dll cant be found

i reinstalled it twice, any other ideahs on this ?

That I have no idea, perhaps try the autodesk help forums or something *shrug*

go return it and see if they'll give you another copy. just say its a bad disc and you demand another.

Pretty sure it's just the demo the full version costs tons of money.

lol i got the demo allright im a student i cant afford the full version ^^
