Hm... they are ok. I'd suggest steering clear of the effect you used in the 2nd one, not pretty at all 
As for the first one.. it's ok, a bit ripply, and the light hurts my eyes but not bad for a start. As for 'sig making tutorial', there isn't such a thing. Instead of making sigs, try and make backgrounds, say 500 x 500 with loads of layers/effects/different lighting then take a section you really like (say 340 x 90, my size sigs) and add images etc to that.

ok, thanks G0tenks, but do you have a place for tutorials on that? I think that's about as far as I can get without one
