Valve love modders

I highly doubt rage, plus if they didn't want it they could have stopped it. They'll probably hire them all and sell the finished product (CS, DoD, TF)

Deep south :(
They've said for ages it's not 100% HL1 about 90% I think I read somewhere
When it was initially announced, they said it was to be a totally faithful remake of Half-Life using the source engine. They didn't say "oh well.. we are going to make mostly half life, but then change something else". They had a game plan, and flipped it at some point in development cycle.

I never said from the start :)

I think they said they realised at some point they couldn't do a 100% faithful remake and needed to take a small amount of creative licence.
I'm not 100% sure, I don't follow religiously just pick up bits here and there

Half-life is an imperfect game. A great, imperfect game. But imperfect. I'd entirely expect them to change certain things about it.

I don't think Valve has to buy it off them; being their IP and their content and all.

I also doubt they'll hire them.

But Gaben has said he wishes to play it.

Yeah, Valve approved them.

Kinda unfair.

I mean; I get why...

But they were only @ 50%.

Then...approved.

Yet every other mod or game will need 100%.

I know Black Mesa has crazy hype...but still!

There are a few others (maybe 10) that have been lit, Stuff I've never heard of before

None of them appear in the greenlit filter yet :\

Slender: Source is a big name and it wasn't lit but plenty of others with less of a name and less percentage have been

Also they were the highest rated mod anyway, Valve have said they're tweaking the numbers still

I hate Slender Source.

I want to play it, of course.

But they became far to big, to fast, it's annoying. They're up there with mods that have put years of hard work...actual work. Unlike Slender Source which hasn't done any, except one model, everything else is currently stock. It's not even Alpha yet, but they have the power of ***** behind them.

"Slender" that free to play game that was released was good and interesting.

This is merely a cash in on popularity at the moment. The mod will die, weeks after release, and no one will ever play ti again.

It's sad to see it up there with real titles that deserve it.

But it's been so long, I remember the places and stuff, but my memory is not that detailed.

I did get through the part I was stuck in though.
