Why are people so shocked by that event? Some people died in some buildings. So what? It was most likely a setup by the american government to have a reason to kill arabs and take their oil...

I seriously don't know what to say to that... thousands of people died because of that attack. People that were above where the plane hit had only 2 options: 1. to wait for the building to collapse or die from the smoke
2. jump to their deaths
what do you think went through their mind during that hour before they died?
A lot of people lost their loved ones that day and you're saying what's the big deal?

The firefighters and police officers stayed at the site for days looking for possible survivors and bodies. A lot of them died because they were exposed to dust.

What i'm trying to say is... Many innocent people died at that day and if you really think that it's nothing special then say the same to the families of thousands of people that died that day

The world has a 6,7 billion human population or so. In that event only a few thousand died. The numbers were probably back to normal in a day or two... sadly...

So its ok when your countrys adminstration decides to decimate the population by simply killing them?
Even when youre neighbors, friends and even own family is involved ?

it's pretty low to disregard even one death as "just a statistic"

My country is way to retarded to even consider that. But it sounds ok with me.

Sorry to say it like this but.

Thousands of people die every week. Going this far for a select group due to some circumstances is egoistical and hypocritical.

Especially in times when the poor starve to deatch and the rich are dying from stuffing their stomachs to full.

Yes it was a tragedy. But so was lots of other things. No idea what makes this so special. Aside from the fact that the people were from the US.

we remember it cause it was our (the U.S. government's) mistake.

same reason we remember every avoidable disaster.

It wasn't a mistake. It was a good reason to go at war with Iraq. Now they are exploiting their oil resources as we speak.

no...they actually aren't. dont fall for every conspiracy theory you hear.

you actually remind me of an older player that used to frequent the forums. he used to say the same thing all the time along with various religious conspiracies.

Amen.

Yes 9/11 proved to be a pivotal point in history, but the US has only suffered an attack like this maybe twice in 50 years. It feels catastrophic because its not the world you think you grew up in. There are places in the world totally immersed in chaos and these people live that world everyday.

very true. it forced people to accept that, just because we live in a near eden-like society (in the sense that you can basically do what you want), doesn't mean that there isnt alot of fear and suffering in the world outside.

The reason why so many people hate the US is because the majority are totally oblivious to the extent of exploitation, corruption and violence that US business, idealism and military has made to the stability of many countries.

well, not many people are as oblivious as you'd like to think. honestly i kinda wish we were, then we would have an excuse. but we do know that our government is ****ed up, our lives are just so comfortable that we dont care.

but what i do like about our government is that, for this SPECIFIC reason, its reset every 4 years. 8 max. but not all the blame falls with the US government. the only reason we get the blame is because we're currently the strongest power. so, in everyone else's eyes, we are the single reason why the world is a wreck, atm.

the truth is, that while we are greedy, we dont genocidally kill our own countries inhabitants. we don't knowingly grow/cultivate/process millions of pounds of heroine, cocaine, or meth. we dont (yes, we DONT) research biological mutations of incredibly deadly viruses for biological warfare or threaten to nuke an entire country.

It doesn't matter where you are from... greed and religion is probably ruining your life in some way, shape, or form. It's easy to blame the rich guy/gal for poverty... poverty is the leading reason for most crimes. If only we worked more as a team, and made it a priority to explore the universe.

The truth is... some people are trying to work as a team... and some people are casual about life and use comedians or religion to fill their void. This void is never filled obviously, because it's been hurting to share (resources) since childhood.

I sadly, have to use comedians.
