After yesterday's exciting news about The Simpsons Game, Microsoft has jumped on the Simpsons bandwagon by announcing a limited Simpsons Xbox 360 edition, promoting The Simpsons Movie.
Only 100 units will be produced of the new yellow colored Xbox 360 version. These limited quantity that features Homer's head on the console's face will be given away in a "series of special events and promotions" that are yet to be announced.
Although they are a limited edition, the Simpsons Xbox 360 will not be based on the new Xbox 360 Elite model, but on the somehow older Xbox 360 Premium edition. So no 120GB hard disk drives nor HDMI output for the lucky winners.
The Simpsons Movie will hit the theatres on July 27, so the various promotions announced by Microsoft will take place within the weeks leading up to the release of the movie.
Microsoft has pointed Simpsons and Xbox 360 fans to Xbox's official site (Link available in the downloads tab) for further details, but the site has not yet been updated.
