have you tried shutting down some of your processes which could be causing the CPU to run at 100%?

i suppose shutting down teamspeak shouldnt make a difference, have you got a cool system?
how many fans have you got?, the hotter the computer the more hardwork teh CPU has to do...

i have 4 fans,
1 sucking in , 3 blowing out and my computer is at an average 29'C Degrees

i have a 64bit, i have no problem atall :S i shouldnt see why you are getitng these problems

i dont think you can play games while steam is downloading/ patching.

but a good point, close all downloads (if any) while playing ESF
