Yeeep. :D

Seriously, though, I had the same worries about a new Bond that everyone else had. (Admittedly I didn't care enough to make a website dedicated to the issue, but then I have a life outside my bedroom.) Those worries lasted right up until Daniel Craig appeared - about twenty seconds into the movie - and they never returned.

This guy isn't just a good Bond - and he might be the best yet - he's as close to Ian Fleming's character as anyone has ever come. This time the character of James Bond manages to be something more than a smirk and a pistol. (And that, for all the throw-away romances and betrayals, is all the Cinema-Bond ever was.) This time he's a person.

Which isn't bad for an action-flick.

I found it incredibly enjoyable, as did everyone I know who has gone to see it, as well. While I won't name it the best Bond movie yet, it's easily one of the more enjoyable/better ones. Daniel Craig does the character justice :)

Saw it opening night, and it instantly became my favorite bond movie. Daniel Craig is an awesome bond.

Sorry, but Sean Connery won my heart before I was even born. So there's no point in me seeing this. No doubt it's good though.

Oh, you have one of those... "In Kazahkstan, we keep them in cages."

I'll probably go see the movie this weekend, if I get a break from work.

I heard this movie sucked ass from like.... everyone that went to see it. Personally, i like Sean Connery the most, though, this bond looked like he fit the role well.

He was atleast better than that Pierce Brosnan dumbass. He was a ****ty James Bond, im glad he's out of there.

Anywho, i doubt i'll see this. Instead, i'll go see something like..... well.... im not sure. BUT I'LL SEE IT!

How is that any different than saying, "I've flipped a coin ten times in a row and it's come up heads every time, therefore, I have no reason to believe if I flip it again, it will come up tails."

It's getting decent reviews, and even has over 90% on Rotten Tomatoes based on 153 reviews, compare with the 59% that Die Another Day received. I haven't enjoyed a Bond film in a long time either, but I'll reserve my opinion until I've seen it with my own eyes.

Well, since then every movie seems to be more about - lets see how big a budget we can spend - rather than, - lets make a film with a good story. I know, this most recent one is based on the first book of James bond, and maybe Im wrong, but the way they've been making all the films recently isnt exactly very encouraging to me, they've been getting progressively worse. Lets put it this way, you might've seen the leprachaun and thought it was okay, saw number 2, thought it was dire, saw number 3, thought it was worse than it could ever be, number 4 you turned it off after the credits and then thats when you decide maybe there's no point in watching the other 10 they're gonna make.

I'll still watch it, I just don't have high expectations though.

Oh David don't say that I was impressed with the action in this movie, and to be honest I've never sat through a whole James Bond movie because they didn't reallly pull me in like this one did. This movie was fkn great.

They *****ed on the new Bond because he is blonde.

Because he's smaller then the other bonds.

Because... /more stupid reasons.

Because so many so-called bond fans say this movie will suck, I will see this one.

I'm sure its gonna rock.

Besides, if one bond movie sucked, it was the one with George Lazenby, he had an australian accent, and I actually fell asleep during that movie and I never do that D:

My personal favourite was definately goldeneye, but since one was just different than the usual James Bond movie, although it was a "new start". However I found it to be the most funny Bond movie since it made me laugh quite a lot :-D and I would love to see Craig doing some more. You just can't compare him to Pierce B. e.g.

I went to see it last night and I thought as an action film it hit all the right notes, but as a Bond film it had a lot of shortcomings. Most of these were down to Daniel Craig and the 'New Bond' (read: 'Real Bond') he portrayed.

Because they were using the novel as a reference rather than any of the past movies, Daniel Craig's Bond had very little in common with the usual true-to-cinema Bond. He was gritty and brutal. I haven't read many of Ian Fleming's novels but Bond is expected to be dapper, suave, witty and charming. He's what women want and what men want to be. Daniel Craig failed to deliver. It didn't tick all the 'Bond-cliche' boxes (the reasons you'd chose a Bond film over an Action film);

*spoilers in white*

-Bond has the crap beaten out of him on several occasions.
-Bond doesn't 'get the girl'.
-Bond leaves a woman in his bedroom without pleasuring her.
-Daniel Craig's nipples seemed to appear in every scene. To the point where they should've had their own credits and speaking parts.
-Le Chief was vulnerable, he was a weak character, he owed money and was scared, rather than being in a real position of power.
-Everything wasn't tied up at the end, a Bond first.
-No Q, few gadgets.
-Bond doesn't give a damn if his Vodka Martini is shaken or stirred.

The one-liners were thin on the ground too (IMO it was actually 'M' who got the best lines) and I didn't think the antagonist Le Cheif was enough of a supervillain for Bond.

That aside the action set-pieces were damn good and, though not as much as i'd have liked, it had some style. It was an enjoyable action flick

It's a funny sort of series when the main criticism is that it isn't a cliche-ridden dinosaur with all the integrity of a chocolate kettle. o_O

But, fair enough, I suppose Casino Royale was a betrayal of the Cinema Bond. The trouble is that Cinema Bond was the bastard child of the Fleming Bond.

So, who is the Pretender and who is the rightful King?
