Hello everyone. I'm having problems installing directx 9.0c onto my computer. When i install, it gives me an error message "A cabinet file neccesary for installation cannot be trusted." Why can't it be trusted if it is from the Microsoft Website/Company. Anyone else experienced this problem?

i use steam. i went and downloaded esf 1.2 and went to install it. the thing game up with the directory C:\valve\steam\steamapps\email\half-life so i hit next and it says ESF could not be found on selected location. Please choose again. what do i do?
