clfxquality

I never was able to see anything while transforming except the character moving. In fact I never even knew that stuff happened. I hear the sounds but I don't see anything but the char while transforming. Someone said to change the cl_fxquality thing to cl_fxquality "3" in the config.cfg file but...

Please help whenever i use spirit bomb or try to transform it makes the game crash and everyone one says type cl_fxquality 0 but do i type it the concel but it wont open when i push the button ~ `
