World of Warcraft: Cataclysm

Not a lot of mention about the story and world changes, personally I’m a huge fan of Blizzard’s story and game lore across all franchises, and this “Cataclysm” that’s going to happen at the release of the expansion is something I’m really looking forward to, gameplay-wise, Wrath may have had a few flaws, but the phasing system they introduced had some truly phenomenal impacts on quests to bring them up past that level of “epic” (The wrathgate questline for example), and during wrath it was new, imagine that in Cataclysm where there is surely going to be a fair share of epic questlines as Azeroth gets more and more ****ed up the further you progress.

I’m also pretty excited to see the old-world change, things like the Westfall inn finally being built (seriously it’s taken those peasants 6 years and they still haven’t done a thing). Barrens being split in two, Thrall taking extended leave as Warchief of the Horde, Cairne being killed off. There’s a seriously huge amount of stuff that’s happening that is really going to change the world (of warcraft).

I predominantly play a resto Druid, if I was going to complain it would be that there really wasn’t much changed to that class/spec apparently because we were perfect already. A couple of small changes, most of them good so I can’t really complain. I do like the overhaul of +spellpower and returning everything to the roots of int, stam and spi with a 31 point talent tree. With feral as my offspec the changes are pretty awesome, we’ve become a bit more rogue-like as cat in that we have a few more of the utility abilities that we were lacking (reliable interrupts anyone?), and overall it’s reasonably good.

Can’t wait.

Honestly, the only story that I care about is the old god ****, those guys are awesome.

Gotta Agree with this. Arthas was the only character I was wanted to fight and he just got taken down simply.

They should just remove all classes and give players the choice of only one class that can tank, dps, cc and heal without any sacrifice in any of the 3 specs. Oh wait…

Lets get to work on a good one then.

I too am looking forward to the story that is involved in the cataclysm. I am, however, a bit concerned. I know blizzard is revamping the way players level from 1 to 85. But seeing the Worgen and Goblin starting zones, and how diverse and fun their questing is, I’m afraid the rest of the classes will get gimped out on having awesome starting area’s too.

Personally, I feel each class should have that “whoa this is awesome” feel that the Worgen’s and Goblins get. Worgens get to fight off a horde of werewolves, Goblins get to rob banks, drive around in cars and, well, just be bad ass. Personally, whe you have that much fun for just one class, I don’t want to make a Human and grab quests to kill 10 wolves, or 20 people, or 30 “YOU NO TAKE CANDLE” screeming trolls. It’s boring.

But we’ll see. I don’t have access to beta, but personally that’d be the first thing I tested if I did. Everyone else will be checking out Goblins and Worgens, I want to see what every other class starting zone brings to the table.

70% of the 80s in my server have taken him down.

I play on Silvermoon EU and we have pugs taking him down every other day. Everywhere you look are Kingslayers.

keyword guys, hardmode. That’s where the real challenge is. That’s where you can say that you “beat the game”. Blizzard made easy & hardmodes so that a larger player base could experience “endgame” i.e the content and instances. But it is actually the hardmodes that are the equivalent to the old BC raid instances.

Check out Silvermoon, dude. We have pugs asking for 12/12 HM before they join your group. It’s an incredibly elitist server, but on the other hand, those pugs will take down HM Arthas. It’s ridiculous and that’s why I love my server.

Endgame is not for everyone. The ones that couldn’t experience it prior to this expansion, could watch boss kills of it; after all, it’s the most those scrubs deserved.

Skill = Getting 40 people to work together to take down MC or ZD… Specially AQ40…

I found this relevant… and think this everytime I do these kind of quests.

No they haven’t, they only got a sneak peak at the real fight.
Normal modes are nothing more but ways for people to see content, because they kept *****ing it’s too hard.
So now it’s accessible for everyone, with decent loot too. But you’re not really doing the encounter as you’re supposed to.
The normal mode doesn’t even compare to the hardmode.

You’re full of bull**** aren’t you?
http://www.wowprogress.com/pve/eu/silvermoon Two guilds did the hardmode. Most of them stuck on 11/12 and you’re saying it’s being pugged. Yeah right.. :expressionless:
The only possible way you might see the encounter if you did a GDKP run with one of the guilds who did do it.. but pugging, **** no.
For now the hardmode is not puggable. And probably won’t be either while we are in this expansion.

I believe this is a filtering technique to scare away nubs when you claim 12/12 HM, or your server is filled with some kind of self-righteous wiping mentality.

I hate pubbing for ICC.

There’s no ****ing reason to start ****ing cursing, okay?

I didn’t mean the HM, obviously. -.- I said Kingslayers, not Bane of the Fallen King didn’t I?

Is there any way to check how many people have the NORMAL Fall of the Lich King achievement? Because there are a lot on Silvermoon.

Technically this thread was for cataclysm but uhhhh, normal (hell even HM) ICC isn’t hard. Some fights are even laughable. The only one that’s hard is the LK himself; yes my guild is stuck at 11/12 ICC.

Yes, let’s get back to Cataclysm.
